Per segment. Bought by the top-up.
No monthly fee on any tier, and no contract. You buy credit; the more you buy in 90 days, the cheaper every segment gets.
A segment is not a message
GSM text is 160 characters in one segment and 153 in each one after that. A 400-character message is three segments and costs three. One character outside the GSM alphabet — a curly quote, any Dzongkha — moves the whole message to 70 and 67.
Every top-up counts, and they add up
Your rate is set by what you have bought in the last 90 days, added together. Four top-ups of $50 reach exactly the same rung as one of $200. The better rate applies to your whole balance the moment it lands, including credit you already hold.
You only pay for what leaves
A message that is cancelled inside its undo window, expires before delivery, or fails permanently is refunded automatically. Sandbox traffic is free and unlimited.

Do small top-ups count?
Yes — that is the point of the window. It is the total you have bought in 90 days that decides your rate, so $50 four times and $200 once reach the same rung. Nothing is wasted for being small.
What happens when a top-up gets old?
It stops counting 90 days after you bought it, and your total drops by that much. If the total falls below your rung, your rate returns to the one below. Your console shows the exact date in advance, and tells you what would keep it.
Am I ever charged more for messages I already sent?
No. A message is priced when we accept it and that price never changes. A rate that goes up or down only affects what you send next.
Can I get a rate by agreement instead?
Yes — for sustained volume we set a fixed rate that does not expire and is not affected by the window at all. Talk to us before you commit to a large top-up.
